As with everything from Arai, every improvement is made with a priority for protection, bringing them ever closer to the ideal Arai shape for protection.
The visor system and visor are one of the key changes on the Tour-X5. The VAS-A visor system, derived from the VAS-V system developed for the Arai RX-7V race helmet, has been designed to maximise Glancing-Off performance. This means there is more surface area to ‘glance off’ impact energy whilst offering easy installation and removal of the visor and peak. The visor itself has been designed for increased visibility and Glancing-Off performance. As with all Arai helmets, it has a Max Vision visor and an anti-fog Pinlock insert which can easily be installed. The VAS-A visor system also makes it easier to switch your helmet style up easily and without tools. Choose between Adventure, Off-road and On-road wherever you go.
The Arai Tour X5 has a completely redesigned ventilation system, being the second Arai model to feature the 3D logo duct. Complemented by the AR Spoiler and the latest iteration of the Delta Duct.
The ventilation system of the Tour X5 provides ample air flow to keep you cool no matter what. Additionally, the inner vent gate can flow air to the mouth or visor for increased defogging. As with any Arai model, ventilation parts like the 3D Logo Duct, AR Spoiler and Delta Duct 6 are designed to break off during an impact for maximum Glancing Off performance.
The helmet interior is fully removable, with an adjustable pad at the rear of the crown pad. A redesigned nose deflector will make the use of goggles easy. FCS cheek pads will give a firm fit for both on and off-road riding.

When it comes to proficiency in head protection, Arai has the goal of making a helmet superior to all others and continues to make their helmets with this goal today. They have seen this confirmed in many of their rider crashes over several decades, and they continue to pursue gains in protection.
GLANCING OFF
Head protection means managing impact energy. Many riders understand that helmets have to absorb energy, but Arai believe that’s just one part of impact energy management. The lower the impact energy, the less needs to be absorbed. Arai does that by making rounder, smoother and stronger outer shells to improve Glancing Off performance and reduce impact energy transferring into the helmet. This is unique to Arai and their core philosophy.
All orders with a Mainland UK shipping address are 100% free. If your order is placed before 2 pm on a working day (Monday-Friday), it will usually be dispatched that day, and orders placed after this or on a weekend/bank holiday are usually sent out on the following working day.
Your order will be shipped out by one of our selected couriers, depending on your delivery address and order value. Our internal system is fully integrated with the delivery services, meaning that you’ll be able to track your parcel from the moment it leaves us until it reaches your door. You can expect your parcel(s) to arrive within the time frame stated at checkout. You do have the option to upgrade your delivery should you wish. You can expect your parcel(s) to arrive between 1-5 working days. If your order is above £69.99, it will require a signature and will not be able to be left in a safe place.

If you are unhappy with your order, we will happily accept the return of your item(s) within 60 days provided:
It is returned back to us unused and undamaged. A used helmet cannot be returned for a refund, unless it is proved to have a manufacturing defect. No exceptions.
The item is returned back to us complete with all of the original tags, packaging and any associated parts supplied.
If it’s a helmet, the Pinlock Insert is not fitted (unless fitted as standard during the manufacturing process). The visor film should also remain on the helmet.
If it’s a helmet, it is returned to us in the original manufacturers box, undamaged.
If any of the above criteria is not met, we may refuse to refund your order. Alternatively there could be a handling charge varying from 10-50%, depending upon the severity of the condition of the item.

If you choose to arrange your own delivery, we recommend that you use a tracked & insured service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty.
Cancellations
You have the right to cancel your order(s) under the The Distance Selling Regulations.
You have the right to cancel the purchase of a good without having to give a reason at any time within seven working days, beginning on the day after you receive the goods.
If you are in possession of the goods you are under the duty to retain them and take reasonable care of them. You must send the goods back to us to our contact address at your own cost (unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is damaged or defective) as soon as possible once you have cancelled the contract. To correctly measure yourself, you want to use a flexible tape measure around the largest part of your head as shown in the image. If you don’t have a flexible tape measure, simply use a piece of string or something similar, and then measure the string. If you plan on wearing a balaclava or anything else, then you would be advised to measure your head with the item of clothing on.
